Pumpkin Time Again

Just this time last year, we went to the Pierce College Pumpkin Patch with Kyle.  One of the first outings we did with Kyle and Jessica.  I am very very happy we are friends with them.  Cody loves Kyle.  In fact until up until about a week or so ago, Cody called Kyle "My Buddy."  He couldn't say Kyle's name, so we needed something to identify Kyle by.  My Buddy seemed to work very well.  He can say his name now, but I think he will always be My Buddy to Cody.

2008 and 2009.  What a change.  Last year we went with a stroller, this year, none.  My baby is growing up!  I can't imagine what having grandchildren does to your sense of time.

Cody Words

Several times this past couple of months, Cody has come home from school saying "uppy choo choo."  For the life of me, I couldn't figure out what he was saying.  He calls his blanket his uppy, and I didn't understand why he was taking about the trains, we didn't live near them yet. When he came home with goody bags, I finally figured out that he was saying happy birthday. 

 

This morning, since it was my birthday, I was trying to get him to say happy birthday to me.  He wouldn't.  BUT he did make me say happy choo choo to him and then sing the birthdat song. 

 

When we got to school, I came around to his side of the car, and asked one last time.  He grinned, pulled his paci out, and said "Happy Choo Choo!"

Cody was going commando when I picked up him up from school today.  Mostly my fault since I keep forgetting to bring him more undies.  Not the story though.

 

We got home, and before he started playing, I told him it was pee pee time.  He went willingly, this time.  He stepped up on his stool, waited for me to lift the lid and yank down his pants.  He still has a hard time pulling them down.  He peed, and wiped.  I told him to pull his pants up.  He leaned down, grabed his pants, which were around his ankles, paused, and farted, perilously close to my face.  He laughed and then yanked up his shorts.

 

You get to guess who he is just like.

Park and Ride

We have started doing things in the evenings after dinner to help Cody burn some of his energy.  We were doing it hoping he would be tired enough to sleep in his own bed.  THAT didn't work, but we still are doing it to spend some good time to go.

Two days ago, we walked by the wash behind our complex.  Cody had a blast and a hard time keeping up on his Diego bike.  Every time he goes to his friend Kyle's house, he rides Kyle's radio flyer bike, the one he can actually reach the pedals.  Yesterday we bought him his own radio flyer.  And we can barely keep up with him.  He LOVES it.  I need to get some pictures of him, but since I have a hard enough time posting the little that I do, well, don't hold your breathe.  I will try to get some tomorrow.  Maybe. 

 

We'll see. 

 

We love it here!  I am so glad that we moved!

 

 

This might embarass him later

Last week, Cody was a bit constipated, most likely due to all the running around we were doing.  I think Sunday morning, he was telling us his belly hurt and I knew it was because he needed to poop.  Richard got him a warm rag for his belly which seemed to help, but then decided a warm bath was key.  Cody has pooped in the tub a couple of times.

 

The boys climbed in and I got into the shower.  All of a sudden Richard rushes into our bathroom looking for the wet wipes for Cody's booty,  When I got out of the shower, I got to see Cody on the potty, and he pooped!  Richard has realized that Cody was about to go when they were in the tub, so he put him on the potty, held his hands, and showed him how to poop, essentially.  It was very awesome. 

 

Cody was very resistant to even sitting down, he pees standing up, so this is really super that Rich was able to teach him to sit down. 

 

Hopefully, our pooping in the diaper days are closing down;

We have been without internet, landline phone, or cable for almost a week.  I missed the internet the most.  I'm back!
